Hitting the Restart Button

Posted on: October 4, 2011

Ok, let’s just forget the fact that I haven’t posted in this blog for almost 6 months. I couldn’t think of a way beginning this post any less awkwardly so I just figured being forward was best.

Now that that’s out of the way, let’s just start this blog back up why don’t we. It’s been a great summer for both myself and Yoba and we’re now nearing almost a year since we’ve opened. Can you believe that?? I’ve been reading old posts and looking at old pictures recently, and it’s been really interesting to see how far we’ve come since we opened our doors late November of 2010. Still more exciting things to come here in the near future which I will get to in future posts. (I just used the word ‘future’ twice in one sentence. I am awesome with the English Language)

This post however will just be a little appetizer for where I want to go with this blog. The reason this blog became harder for me to write was because I was making each and every post too difficult. I felt like each post needed to have something really relevant and informative or else it would be a waste of everyone’s time (if it wasn’t already). I would write and re-write drafts for several days before I even felt that it was ready to post. It just started to take too much time and eventually the idea of starting a new post would cause me to run away in fear (literally I would just run, with fear all over my face).

So from here on out this blog will not just be a forum for all things Yoba, but also things about my personal life, interesting news stories, cool pictures and funny videos, pop culture, sports, fashion, and just about anything else that I deem interesting. The posts will also be more frequent (although you probobly shouldn’t believe me since I say that all the time) and more concise. I’m really excited to get back into this blogging thing and probably should never had stopped. It actually helps keep my priorities in order believe it or not. Makes me actually sit down and prioritize my thoughts.

It’s good to be back! Till next time…

Yoba Frozen Yogurt

On my Agenda (among other things that’s happened this summer):

  • Happy Birthday to my college buddies Michael and Zach. Do you guys still remember when you guys celebrated your 21st at Ci’s Pizza? Crazy how time flies.
  • This Cincinnati Red’s have been far the most frustrating baseball team to follow this past season.
  • Go Bengals! 2 – 2. Andy Dalton looks like he’s going to be a good pro.
  • Penn State is a very very weak 4 – 1. The quarterback play has been horrendous.
  • My Fantasy Football team is off to a strong start. 0 – 3.
  • Summer trips included 5 days in Cancun at Live Aqua all-inclusive. I’ve been to Cancun twice now, and both trips has been one of the most relaxing vacations I’ve ever had. A must go and not very expensive at all.
  • Washington DC for a weekend. My first time and I will be back. I don’t think it get’s the recognition it deserves as a thriving tourist attraction. Of course you have all the typical attractions in the National Mall, but the food choices were great, the shopping was excellent, and definitely a lot of things to see. Only thing is that everything is so spread out and you can’t really rely on public transportation as much which I love to use.
  • New flavors will be introduced in the coming weeks at Yoba Frozen Yogurt. Find out when on Facebook.
  • Which leads to me asking you to ‘like’ us on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/YobaFrozenYogurt
  • Check us out on Yelp! We’re ranked #2 in the Dayton area under the ‘Food’ category.
